Chelmsford, the parent town of Lowell itself
Chelmsford was founded in 1652 by settlers from Woburn and Concord, incorporating in 1655, and originally contained Westford, Tyngsborough, and much of what became Lowell, itself once known as East Chelmsford. An HVAC project in Chelmsford should account for ductwork retrofitted across more than 350 years since the town's 1652 founding.
