Andover, split from North Andover in 1855
Andover was incorporated in 1646, named for Andover, England, and its original settlement is now North Andover after the two towns split in 1855, with textile mills established by 1813 producing woolen goods still made today. An HVAC project in one of Andover's 1813-era textile-mill homes should account for ductwork retrofitted well after that original woolen-mill-era construction.
